Cockroft, Robert

Robert Cockroft read music at the University of London, graduating with a B.Mus. His principal instrument was the organ which he has studied with a number of teachers, including Dr. Gordon Stewart. After a career in journalism, during which he was a critic for the Guardian and Yorkshire Post newspapers, and lately a newspaper editor, he began to write music. His pieces have been performed in cathedrals and concert halls in several countries.
