Farrell, Robert

Robert Farrell attended Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied composition with Nikolai Lopatnikoff, graduating in 1968 with degrees in Piano Performance and Music Education. For thirty years he was employed by the East Allegheny School District, where he directed the high school chorus, taught general music, and assisted with the string program. Robert has served at the following churches: Saint Kieran Church in Pittsburgh and Saint Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport PA, as Organist and Choir Director; and at Saint John Lutheran Church in Kittanning PA, as Senior Choir Director and Composer-In-Residence. Presently, he is the Composer-In-Residence at St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh.
