Giamanco, Anthony

Since the age of 17, Anthony Giamanco has held Director of Music positions at both Catholic and Protestant churches. Currently he oversees the music ministry at St. Mary Catholic Parish in Pinckney, Michigan. His compositions appear in the catalogs of numerous publishers, including Paraclete Press, GIA, Augsburg Fortress and Lorenz. Although his musical tastes and influences are diverse, he most enjoys writing music for the church. In addition to his compositions for choir, he has written many works for organ, piano, handbells, and wind ensembles. In a national competition, Anthony was awarded 1st prize for his vocal solo, “Christmas Again”, and has been awarded 2nd prize twice: for a TTBB a cappella arrangement of “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”; and for an original vocal/piano setting of The Lord’s Prayer.
