Easter Suite is a series of four famous Easter melodies, set in a neo-baroque style, employing the organ’s solo capabilities as each tune is developed primarily in trio fashion. Particularly ingenious is Lind’s version of “O Filii et Filiae” which uses portions of the tunes “Erschienen ist der herrlich Tag”, “Heut triumphieret Gottes Sohn”, and “Gelobt sei Gott in hochsten Thron”, as counterpoint against the principal tune, “O Filii et Filiae”.
