Fantasia on Sine Nomine

Description

Lind’s “Fantasia on ‘Sine Nomine’ for Organ” makes a colorful postlude for All Saints’ Day or for a fine recital work. Based on the well-known hymn tune by Ralph Vaughan Williams, this contrapuntal set of variations is linked together by a ‘marziale’ homophonic ritornello. The fantasia closes with a fugal toccata section similar in structure to Marcel Dupre’s famous “Variations sur un Noel”.
