This “Intrada” offers a sense of solemnity in both tempo and registrations, calling for the warmest and the strongest foundation tones. Based on a neo-romantic melodic theme, each section gradually builds in dynamic level from a “piano” level through a sturdy “mezzo-forte”, gently quieting to a close. This piece would serve exceptionally well for occasions such as weddings.
