Description

Raymond Herbek has subtitled his new handbell work, “A Modal Meditation”, and one can hear the influence of chant on the different bell parts. Given its introspective nature, there is a great variety of texture and dynamic, and Mr.Herbek’s performance options give further possibilities. The work ends in the same quiet atmosphere in which it began. This beautiful work could be used as a Lenten prelude or at other penitential times.
