This approachable concertato setting of the text and tune of Hymn 492 from The Hymnal 1982 (plus an additional final doxological stanza) would make a fine stepping stone to incorporating Christopher Dearnley’s wonderful Finnian into a congregation’s practice, and would dress it up nicely for anthem use if it is already familiar.
