Following college, he worked as a musician in the church and elsewhere, while also pursuing a career in the technology industry. He has produced a variety of work in the electronic music and entertainment areas, as well as having written and produced his own recordings. He has written several works for piano, as well as having composed a choral Service setting of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis, which premiered at Southwark Cathedral, London in 2005. Most recently it was performed by the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys in 2012 and 2016. In addition to Mr. Kimsey's arranging and composing, he continues to play recitals and concerts in the New York City area and nationwide.
