Description
This majestic anthem is based on passages from the Anglican Book of Common Prayer. The strength of the text is conveyed through the vigorous musical setting and the many unison phrases. The organ part is discreet yet supportive and the voices stay within a moderate range throughout. Simpler alternatives (for choirs of more limited resources) give the piece additional flexibility. Choirs will find this work a welcome new addition to the repertory for Easter day.
