Description

Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming
Bruce Saylor

This imaginative setting of a beloved carol is typical of Bruce Saylor’s arrangements. The first verse gives each voice a phrase of the text and joins it together at “Of Jesse’s lineage. . .” The second verse has a soaring descant while the third connects the melody with variantions upon it. The piece concludes in quiet intimate style.
