This hymn concertato for choir and congregation is meant for Eastertide but can be used for any joyous festivals of the church year. Based on the well known tune DARWALL’S 148th, the arrangement follows a fairly predictable format of 4-part stanza, 3-part stanza, soprano descant (alone) stanza, and ATB in unison against the descant for the final stanza. The brass parts will not overwhelm the choir. The 3-staff organ accompaniment is a bit more challenging than the choral parts. Easy for a choir of 20 or more.
