Adler, Samuel

Samuel Adler, Professor Emeritus of the Eastman School of Music (where he taught for 30 years) and the Juilliard School (where he taught for 20 years), is the composer of over 450 published works in all media, and has authored books on Choral Conducting, Sight Singing and Orchestration. He has been commissioned and performed by many of the leading musical organizations throughout the world and was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2001 and into the American Classical Hall of Fame in 2008. He is also a member of the Academy of the Arts of Germany, and Chile. In the sacred music field, he has written both large and small works for the Church as well as the Synagogue and many have been published by Paraclete Press.
