Missa Brevis in F
Dr. George Guest
The Missa Brevis in F (K.192) was composed by Mozart when he was 18. It [was originally] scored for string orchestra with organ continuo, four soloists and four-part chorus. A noteworthy feature is the use made in the “Credo ” of a melodic figure later to assume massive proportions in the “Jupiter” Symphony (K. 551) completed on 10 August 1788…” —George Guest, St. John’s College, Cambridge
