This anthem is based on the text from the collect for church musicians and artists. The words are given a progressively rich and imaginative harmonic setting of the words. The vocal writing explores the warmth of the middle registers.The work steadily rises to a rich climax at the words: ” …and make them worthy to behold it unveiled for evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord…” This work would be especially useful in a service celebrating art and music in worship.
